1.Write 2 pages of your essay (double-spaced). I don't care if they are in chronological order, but I would prefer them to be.
2. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR OUTLINE IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU TO WRITE YOUR ESSAY. TIP: ASK AN ADULT TO LISTEN TO YOU EXPLAIN YOUR OUTLINE TO THEM. ASK THEM TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS OR MAKE ANY SUGGESTIONS THAT COULD IMPROVE YOUR FLOW.

c.) 8 pages of notes CORNELL STYLE
d.) 6 printed sources
 EXTRA CREDIT: Meet with your adviser to discuss your outline and research questions. Ask them to email me a summary of your discussion.

Do research on your topic and bookmark your pages, so you can come into class and print tomorrow.

1. Today you wrote out a guiding question for topic 1 and topic 2, both on separate pieces of paper.

2. On those same papers list different questions, phrases, key words, etc. that can be entered on a search engine to help you research more efficiently.

Send me an email that explains the following:
a.) The topic you would like to write your essay on. Give as many details as you can.
b.) Explain why you would like to write 5 pages on this topic. Give at least 2 reasons.
c.) Then, tell me everything that you already know about this topic. Explain where you learned this information from and how you came to learn about it.

1. Request Letter for Recommendation for Academic Purposes
This is very similar to the one that you wrote for the Employment Letter of Rec. The only thing that you are changing are the details about the academic purpose.

Hint: You may just copy the employment file and include the academic purpose.

2. Promise 2 kids Scholarship essay

Type a one-page, double-spaced, 12 pt. font essay covering the following:

· Brief personal description

o Identify yourself

o What are your best qualities?

o What are your interests?

· Include obstacles you overcame to pursue your education.

· What do you expect will be the best and most difficult aspect of college?
